My Approach to Therapy

I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of therapy. I aim to build and maintain strong therapeutic relationships through my authenticity, warmth, empathy, and trust with clients. I offer a warm, non-judgmental, safe space for clients to open up about their experiences, learn more about themselves, and accomplish their goals. I believe in utilizing a collaborative approach to support clients in their therapy journey; I encourage feedback from clients about what will be most helpful and productive for them.

I work from a Person-Centered approach; I believe that each client is unique, worthy, and has the capacity to reach their full potential. Therefore, I help clients gain self-awareness and understanding to achieve their goals. I also implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) techniques to provide clients with tangible skills, tools, and problem-solving abilities to use in their everyday life. In my work with couples and families, I focus on improving communication and empathy to help couples understand each other, work as a team, and build connection.

I value the opportunity to hear your story and be a part of your therapeutic journey. I am interested in working with individuals, couples, and families.

About Me

Veronica Jeffers graduated from Villanova University with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Veronica has been at BCA Therapy since January 2023; during her degree completion, she was an intern counselor at BCA Therapy and since graduating, has transitioned to the role of therapist.

Veronica brings a variety of clinical experiences to her work at BCA Therapy. She has experience counseling children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. In her work with individuals, she focuses on empowering clients towards growth through identity exploration, a focus on past and present experiences, self-awareness, and coping skills. In her work with couples and families, Veronica focuses on the relationship, working to support clients’ communication, recognizing unhelpful cycles that need to change, and increasing ability to identify, express, and regulate emotions.

She works with clients on relationship management, identity exploration, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and self-love and self-esteem.

Outside the therapy office, Veronica enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting out into nature, and traveling to new places around the world!
