My Approach to Therapy

I am passionate in helping people reach their fullest potential in their relationships, whether it’s your relationship with yourself or a loved one. Maybe there’s a need for deeper understanding or a more authentic connection to what you are going through on an individual level. Maybe your relationship has taken a turn over the years and you are struggling to make it work together. Life can be overwhelming at times and it can be hard to know where to start. I can help you find answers to some of the most complicated patterns and problems that continue to persist. I believe in the power of the relationship with my clients, and draw on their natural core strengths, resiliency, and the importance of hope for a new future. Through the process of therapy, regardless of your concerns, I will continue to be encouraging, supportive, open, and creative. I continually seek out feedback as to how therapy is progressing to make sure we are heading in the direction of your goals. I know hard work is never easy, but clarity and relief is worth it.

As a marriage and family therapist, I look beyond the surface level to understand the impact of intergenerational issues, as well as each individual’s unique personality and neurobiology. I support couples struggling with communication challenges, feelings of growing apart, the unique dynamics of a relationship affected by ADHD, parenting conflicts, parenting high needs children, rebuilding trust and intimacy, the role of the family of origin and attachment needs, postpartum adjustment, and life transitions. I also provide support to families in all IEP (Individual Education Plan) advocacy needs.

About Me
