My Approach to Therapy

My goal for every client is to help them build the skills and support to live a peaceful and fulfilling life. My special areas of focus include recovery from narcissistic abuse, improving self-esteem, couples relationships, and working with anyone impacted by substance use disorders.

Events can happen in life that we are not responsible for; we did nothing to cause it, we didn’t want it to be this way. Yet, we are left with the responsibility of healing. Abuse, affairs, addiction … all can leave you isolated, alone, doubting yourself, and feeling like there is no one who would understand. And even if they could, where would you even begin?

In my practice, I believe trust is the root of all safe and healthy relationships, including and most importantly the relationship with yourself. Trusting that you can be honest and vulnerable and genuine and say hard things. Trusting that you are worthy of safe people and safe places and safe relationships. Trusting that you are entitled to care and compassion and curiosity in your relationships.

I know how incredibly hard it is to take that first step, and I also know that you are valuable and worthy of recovery and healing. Whether these challenges are living in your past or present, you can achieve peace, serenity, and stability.
