My Approach to Therapy

I am a couple and family therapist who offers empathetic and compassionate treatment for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I utilize systems theories to assist clients in exploring how our relationships and environment impact our larger goals and sense of self. I focus on developing a professional relationship with clients and building a trusting and supportive environment.

I believe in the power of resiliency and connection. Regardless of your goals or where you are in life, everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. My goal as a therapist is to support my clients in their therapeutic journey and to work collaboratively with them during their treatment.

About Me

Alex received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Arcadia University and her Master’s Degree in Couple and Family Therapy with a specialization in Medical Family Therapy and Family Trauma. While at Thomas Jefferson University, Alex interned at Council for Relationships as an individual and family therapist.

After her work at Council for Relationships, Alex worked as a family based clinician for Child Guidance Resource Centers. There, she provided intensive outpatient for children, adolescents, and their families experiencing depression, anxiety, Attention-Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and eating disorders.  Alex is an LGBTQ+ informed practitioner.

Alex’s goal in treatment is to assist clients in telling their story as they heal and grow from their life experiences. Alex believes that self-knowledge is essential to empowerment and gaining control of our lives.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys reading, running, traveling, and spending time with her furry companion.
